| Hickory Flat Pottery is located in an historic 116 year old farm house. Watch potters-Cindy Angliss and Benjamin McElhany working daily in the studio creating, glazing, and then firing pots in the 60 cu. ft. gas kiln . All pottery is oven, dishwasher and microwave safe and meant to be used. Also in the Gallery find the work of other artisans including, pottery,jewelry, glass,fiber, copper and metal art, and woodware. Kiln openings are approximately every 3 weeks.Studio and Kiln Tours are also available. Call ahead for dates and times ! TOUR EVENT: Friday, June 11: Benjamin McElhany will be demonstrating at the wheel 10-6. Saturday, June 12:Demonstrations all day:Cindy Angliss will be demonstrating at the wheel in the morning. Potter,Tasha Biggers will be demonstrating 11AM-4PM. Benjamin McElhany will be on the wheel 12PM-6PM and/or firing the Raku Kiln in the courtyard. Visitors are invited to watch. Sunday, June 13:"Scenic Sunday": Refreshments will be served 12-4 and weather permitting, the Raku Kiln will again be fired. Demonstrations will take place 12PM-6PM . |
